Frequently Asked Questions
- Where should my children await your arrival?
-
To avoid having the children witness my exiting my sleigh, it is best to keep them away from front facing windows and doors.
- Will Santa sit or stand during the visit?
-
Santa will be up and down some, but will sit most of the visit. A sturdy dining room chair is preferred. And please, NOT close to a fireplace! Santa's suits are wool and VERY warm.
- Is Santa Scott available for photo shoots?
-
Because Mrs. Santa Scott is a professional photographer, Santa Scott works exclusively with her and The Santa Experience WV.
- Are photos and videos allowed?
-
Certainly! Photos and videos taken by parents are perfectly fine. Professional photos are not allowed, unless contracted through Mrs. Santa Scott, Renée Preston, and must be booked directly through Renée. Email for scheduling, renee@reneepreston.com
- What about pets?
-
Santa Scott's own dog is afraid of him in full Santa gear, so we encourage you to place your pets in a confined space during the visit. Santa is agreeable to a photo including your dog at the conclusion of the visit.
- What if my child is afraid of Santa?
-
First and foremost, don't force it. Santa Scott is an expert at encouraging engagement and interaction, and 99% of the time, it's all smiles and giggles in short order. Even if your child doesn't want to get too close, a fun visit can still be had.
- Will Santa pass out gifts?
-
Santa is more than happy to spread holiday cheer by passing out gifts purchased and prewrapped by you, the parent and slipped into Santa's bag (on the sly) at the onset of the visit.
Please mark gift with a legible name tag and avoid use of gift bags, as contents tend to spill out into Santa's sack.
- Does Santa Scott travel?
-
Have sleigh, will travel! Please contact Santa Scott for travel rates and areas covered. Mileage and other fees apply.
